The River and Rainforest is the perfect train journey for families… It provides a variety of environments to take in, starting in beautiful Strahan and taking in the harbourside and nearby farmland (look out for the alpacas!) before heading into the rainforest and following the King River into the railway line’s halfway point. At just 4-hours, it’s also a good length for little people to enjoy and the multiple station stops throughout the journey provides a great opportunity to break up the journey and stretch those little legs.
 
Grown ups will also enjoy the live commentary, getting an understanding of how and why this line was built 125 years ago and what makes it so special today.
