Participate in our Women’s Empowerment Project whilst living in the surroundings of beautiful Costa Rica
Nestling between its tropical Caribbean and Pacific coasts, Costa Rica is one of the most breath-taking countries in the world. Travel to this tropical paradise and contribute in Women’s Empowerment initiatives. By doing so, you will integrate into the local community which will leave you in love with the people, landscapes and wildlife that this magical destination has to offer.
Taking part in Costs Rica’s Women’s Empowerment Project and participating in sustainable and meaningful activities, will be a fulfilling experience that will stay with you throughout your life. You will develop skills in working with women and children in local communities, directly impacting future generations, which will in turn beat issues such as unemployment and poverty.
Over 62 million girls around the world are not in school and over a third of women have experienced physical or sexual violence. These two statistics directly correlate to each other as women who are illiterate or lack education, become victims of poverty and abuse. Educated girls are statistically shown to marry later and have fewer children, subsequently decreasing infant mortality rates and increasing numbers of girls in education. The poverty cycle can be broken by also helping to develop the tools and skills women need to earn an income and raise their families out of poverty. Through supporting women, raising awareness and educating local communities on the benefits of equal opportunities, women will lead and raise future generations to be independent and successful.
